The Manor Dances

Filling the lounge with music, dance and vibrant saris captivated the residents during an International Dance Festival at The Manor.

Our activity assistant, Priyanka used her valuable event management skills to rally the staff and together they produced a diverse show that received smiles and applause.

They warmed up the audience with presentations about dances from the home countries of many residents and staff. Video clips of Morris dancing, haka, and traditional dances from China, Fiji and The Philippines inspired some wonderful responses from residents. Koronila responded to the haka with pūkana and Dali sang a traditional Indian song.

The grand finale was spectacular dance performance by staff that was energising and great fun. Smiles and clapping filled the lounge, and everyone appreciated the hard work and enthusiasm of the activity and healthcare teams. Ka pai!
