Covid-19 Vaccine at Ambridge Rose

Dear families, friends and residents,

We have now been advised by the DHB of the date to start the vaccine process for our residents. The confirmed first dose is due to administered in teh week commencing May 31, 2021

The Manor: 9am to 5pm, Wednesday 2nd June 2021

At The Manor, we will be setting up two lounges for this process, one for the administration and one for post administration monitoring so movement within the facility may be limited during the day.
If you would like to be present to provide support to your loved one please advise us that you will be coming along.

This will be a large logistical event so to assist us, the DHB have requested if family visits be kept to a minimum for the day.
Car parking at the top will also be limited.

The Cottage: Monday 31st May 2021. A DHB team will arrive and start the administration process from 9am and they expect to be finished by 12 noon.

The Villa: Monday 31st May 2021. A DHB team will arrive and start the administration process from 12.30pm and they expect to be finished by 5pm.

We will have extra staff on hand to assist the DHB staff but ask that any planned activities, visits or outings be postponed until later in the week.

The DHB have also advised that due to the nature of the draw up process, they may have a small number of vaccines available for administration at the end of the day.
If you are in the facility and would like to take advantage of any unused vaccines, please let us know. Don’t forget to bring some form of ID.

Influenza vaccine
I am pleased to advise that our early decision to vaccinate our residents in May has been completed and has been very successful with a record uptake by residents.
Thank you all for working with us to allow this process to run smoothly.

Staff vaccines
We have also seen a fantastic uptake of Covid vaccinations by staff in all of our facilities, with 98% having their first dose and over 70% now fully vaccinated having received their second dose.
Our next focus is on providing free influenza vaccines to our staff when they are available.

I know that it has been an unsettling time while we await confirmation of the vaccine roll-out and we thank for you for patience.
As always if there is anything we can do for you, please let us know.

Kind Regards
