Covid-19 Update March 23, 2020
IMMEDIATE LOCKDOWN – NO VISITORS
To support the well-being of our Residents and Staff, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to stop all visitors from entering our facilities as of March 23, 2020.
The only exception to this will be the families of residents in palliative care or who are in end of life care.
These visitors will be required to follow careful protocols for hygiene wellness and social distancing.
We understand this may cause a high degree of distress for residents and families, but we must find ways of stopping the spread of this virus to our most vulnerable residents and staff.
The good news is, we have new ways of using technology for you to communicate with your loved ones using video calling.
We have set up video calling using FaceTime, Viber, WhatsApp and Skype as a way of keeping in touch from Tuesday 24th March 2020.
How this will work is as follows:
1. Please ring the facility to obtain a time slot between 9.30am and 2.30pm (Monday to Friday) and provide your contact details and preferred contact method.
2. 30-minute time slots will be available
3. Activities staff will make the call to you at the allocated time
4. Calls will be limited to 15-minutes
I personally want to thank you all for your understanding and support in these trying times.
My Management Team are doing their very best to support their staff and your loved ones and if you have any concerns regarding their wellbeing, please contact the Manager directly.
I will keep you updated as the situation further unfolds.
We are here to help, so please let us know if you have any queries or concerns.
Keep well and be safe,
ALLAN SARGEANT
