Dear residents, families and friends
As announced by the Prime Minister on Sunday, New Zealand moved to RED setting in the traffic light system (Covid Protection Framework) from Sunday 23 January, 2022.
Due to Omicron being present in the community, our residents and staff are deemed to be at high risk of contracting viruses even being fully vaccinated. Therefore we need to modify our visiting protocols.
Please read on for changes to:
• Visiting The Manor
• Outings suspended for residents
Small changes to visiting The Manor
- All visitors may be asked additional screening questions.
- Frontline staff at the entrance may be wearing additional personal protection equipment (PPE) for their safety.
- The number of visitors allowed inside the facility is limited to 20 at one time, so there may be a short wait at peak times to gain entry. This will be reviewed daily by the Clinical Manager and the management team.
- Visiting duration is 30 minutes per visit, however this could reduce to 15 minutes at peak times.
Resident outings on hold
Until further notice, under the RED Covid Protection Framework:
- residents cannot go out with family and friends, and
- there will not be any resident van trips
Please refer here for comprehensive Covid Protection Framework visiting requirements, as notified December 2021.
Thank you for your support. As always, we are here to help, so please let us know if you have any queries or concerns.
Kind regards,
Allan and Linda Sargeant
