Community warmth delivered to The Manor

Ambridge Rose resident with donated blanket

Bob enjoys the beautiful blanket saying it is well made and nice and cosy.

What a surprise when about 40 beautiful blankets were delivered to The Manor late in 2020.

The brightly coloured blankets were crafted by the Knitting in Public Group of Howick and Botany and kindly donated to the residents to give them a snug addition to their rooms. Clinical manager Tee Cheetham says she immediately picked out colours for certain residents – not only to keep them warm when sitting up in a chair but also to brighten their rooms.

“Some residents do not have family that can visit or bring in items – so we can all imagine how grateful they are of these donated gifts. The blankets make our residents feel cared for, loved and a gift is always a beautiful thing to receive.”
