Ambridge Rose effectively operating at Covid level 3

Alert Level 2

Effectively operating at covid level 2

Dear residents, families and friends,

As advised by the Prime Minister this afternoon, from 6am Sunday 7th March 2021 Auckland is moving back into level 2.
The intention is to move back to level 1 on Saturday 13th March 2021, however this will be confirmed later next week.

Thank you for doing your part and assisting us keeping COVID-19 out of our facilities again, together we have been able to keep everyone safe.
We know how tough it has been on you and your loved ones and keeping your distance hasn’t been easy for the past week.

As we welcome back level 2, I want to share with you again what level 2 now looks like for all of us.
Although there is still risk of community spread, our residents and staff are still deemed to be at “high risk” of contracting viruses, therefore our procedures will be more strict than other places operating at level 2.
In line with the Ministry of Health and New Zealand Aged Care guidelines, we are effectively operating at level 3.

Staffing:
Under level 2 there will be a continuation of the internal Level 3 & 4 process and procedures we implemented, and which are currently in place for all staff.
These include:

  • Sanitising, temperature checks and completion of a staff log upon entry
  • Adhering to physical distancing where possible
  • All staff wearing surgical disposable masks.

Allied Health Services:
Under level 2, we welcome back our allied health partners who provide such a vital service.
These include normal GP, physiotherapist, speech language therapist, podiatrist and more importantly our hairdresser visits.
If your loved one requires these services, please let us know and we’ll book them in.
Naturally, they will all be following strict Infection Prevention Control protocols.

Visits from family or friends:
From 8.30am Sunday 7th March 2021 at level 2, visits will be allowed.
We still need to follow the strict conditions as set out by the Ministry of Health:

  • Visiting hours will be limited to twice a day.
  • 8.30am to 11.30am
  • 12.30pm to 3.30pm

  •  Initially, the allocated visit time is limited to 30 minutes per visit, unless prior approval is obtained from Management.
  • Only one visitor per resident unless prior approval is obtained from Management.
  • The maximum number of visitors allowed into the facility will be capped at 10 persons, thereafter we will operate on a “one out, one in” basis.
  • No visitors under the age of 12 unless prior approval from Management.
  • Visitors will be asked to complete a visitor log for contact tracing purposes and be given a health check.
  • We reserve the right to deny entry if you fail our health check.
  • Visitors will be held at the front door and health screened by a staff member upon arrival. You will be asked to sanitise, have your temperature taken and a wear mask. These items must remain in place for the duration of your visit.
  • Visitors must stay in the designated area/room during the entire visit (no visiting any other areas/rooms or other residents) Restroom facilities will not be available to visitors.
  • Visitors must always maintain physical distancing of 2 metres.
  • All visitors must abide by our Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) procedures.
  • Goods brought into the facility will be checked and if required sanitised.
  • Please follow the directions of staff.

We anticipate there may be a high number of visitors on Sunday we ask for your patience while we facilitate your entry.

As we await the alert level review later next week, we are hoping to be back to normal at level 1 from Saturday 13th March 2021.
When this is announced, I will let you know as soon as possible.

As always, please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

Kind regards
ALLAN SARGEANT
AMBRIDGE ROSE OWNER / CEO
