As the Clinical Lead / RN at The Manor, I have had the pleasure of working with many residents and their families. My journey at Ambridge Rose started in 2016 when I joined as a Healthcare Assistant, and after working my way up, I became a Registered Nurse Supervisor. Having worked as a nurse in hospitals in the Philippines, I was able to gain invaluable New Zealand nursing experience at Ambridge Rose.

After completing the competency assessment programme required for internationally qualified nurses, I was appointed as The Manor’s Registered Nurse Supervisor in May 2020. A year later, in 2022, I became the Clinical Lead / RN. In my role, I work closely with our rest home residents and their families to manage clinical care and discuss any health plans or concerns. I also liaise with other allied health services to ensure our residents receive the best possible care.

Caring for older people has always been close to my heart, having looked after my grandmother in the Philippines. I find it incredibly rewarding to hear the stories our residents share with me, and it’s a privilege to be able to provide them with care and support.

When I’m not working, I enjoy watching romcom and sci-fi movies, as well as classic popular sitcoms. It’s important to take time for myself to unwind and recharge so I can continue to provide the best possible care for our residents.
