Jackie Wood-Ciobanu

As Facility Manager and Enrolled Nurse at The Cottage, my passion for caring for older people is reflected in my 25 years of experience in the aged care sector, with a specialisation in dementia care for the last 15 years.

Since joining The Cottage in 2019, my role has involved managing every aspect of the facility, from administration and staff HR to providing care and support to residents and their families. I believe in a hands-on approach, which helps me to connect with residents and understand their unique needs and preferences.

The Cottage is a homely, family-run boutique unit that aligns perfectly with my personal values and approach to care. I truly enjoy the interaction with residents and their families, and find great satisfaction in making a difference in their lives, even if it’s just for a moment. When I see a resident smile, it makes my day.

Outside of work, I love gardening, walking, and travelling with my wife.
