In loving memory of Linda Sargeant, founding co-owner of Ambridge Rose who sadly passed away on 5th August 2025.
Linda’s career in aged care spanned 37 years, with the last two decades dedicated to Ambridge Rose.
She began in December 2001 as Facility Manager at Waters Edge Rest Home. In August 2002, she and Allan purchased the home, beginning the journey that would become Ambridge Rose Manor. Turning their vision into reality, they created a place of care and dignity for older people in the community.
Linda found her purpose in supporting residents and their families. She was pragmatic, determined, and always looking for ways to make things better. Her influence shaped both the culture and the values of Ambridge Rose. She built strong foundations that will continue – a commitment to compassion, respect and family.
Her presence will still be felt here, in the standards of care, the spirit of the team, and the relationships with families. Ambridge Rose will always carry the imprint of her work and dedication.
Linda always put everyone first before herself. Nurturing, protecting and caring for our family and those around her. She did this selflessly, without seeking recognition. She was a truly remarkable and beautiful lady, loved by all who met her.
The legacy and love she left behind is irreplaceable, and her unconditional love for family will forever be etched in our hearts.
Ambridge Rose will always be a reflection of her.
