Our Ambridge Rose Family to Yours

The start to 2023 has been busy and we continue to work our way through challenges that impact on aged care providers.

We continue to join forces with the New Zealand Aged Care Association in the negotiations to achieve pay parity for nursing staff working in community facilities, such as Ambridge Rose.

Many of our staff have been part of our extended family for many years and we work hard to provide support for them in many ways, one of them being professional development. This year Kamal Kaur is studying a business course, and Tee Cheetham and Marfred Olivar are both undertaking master’s degrees. Many staff complete vocational courses to provide the best care possible to residents, and it also makes their work more rewarding. I’m (Allan) even taking on a course with the Institute of Directors to improve my governance skills.

With regards to the extreme weather events in Auckland, none of the Ambridge Rose homes were adversely affected. We have comprehensive contingency plans for such situations, and we are fully prepared for any eventuality. Also, we have a supportive network of other aged care providers and we all back one another up in emergencies, ensuring everyone’s residents are safe and comfortable – no matter what happens.

Remember the doors of the management team are always open and don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns or need more information. We have an exciting few months ahead, with some new developments for Ambridge Rose, and we look forward to sharing this with you soon.

Kind regards,
Allan and Linda Sargeant
