Dear residents, families and friends,
As advised by the Prime Minister tonight, Auckland has been placed in level 4 lockdown form 11.59pm tonight for the next 7 days.
To support the well-being of our residents and staff, therefore effective immediately we have stopped all visitors from entering our facilities today.
The only exception to this will be the families of residents in palliative care or who are in end of life care.
These visitors will be required to follow careful protocols for hygiene wellness and social distancing.
We understand this may cause a high degree of distress for residents and families, but we must find ways of stopping the spread of this virus to our most vulnerable residents and staff.
The good news is, we have the use of technology for you to communicate with your loved ones using video calling.
We have set up video calling using FaceTime, Viber, WhatsApp and Skype as a way of keeping in touch from Wednesday 18th August 2021.
How this will work is as follows:
I personally want to thank you all for your understanding and support in these trying times.
My management team is doing their very best to support their staff and your loved ones, and if you have any concerns regarding their wellbeing, please contact the manager directly.
I will keep you updated as the situation further unfolds but let’s hope we can return to normal soon.
We are here to help, so please let us know if you have any queries or concerns.
Keep well and be safe.
