Ambridge Rose Villa - Well read

The reading out loud activity proved extremely popular this month. Ann brought in a variety of Dr Seuss books and everyone was fascinated with the famous stories.

In particular, Oh, the Places You'll Go! resonated with the residents. The plot tracks life's ups and downs and how to overcome adversity. Dr Seuss' stories are more than just catchy poems; they often wrestle with serious philosophical and moral dilemmas.

There are many different reasons why people give up reading.  Common barriers include poor vision, lack of  strength to hold up a book, or a tremor. Giving up reading does not mean people have lost interest in books, which is why reading out loud is such an important activity for everyone.
