Ambridge Rose Manor knitting for tiny tots, June 2016

Ambridge Rose Manor knitting club has been very busy in preparation for the cold winter months.
The group gathers together on a regular basis and knits beanies, booties and blankets for the Kidz First Children’s Hospital. Recently several bags of winter woollies were delivered to Diane McEntee at the hospital. Diane is a volun-teer co-ordinator for Kidz First’s wool programme.
“Every winter many babies and children are admitted to hospital with respiratory illnesses,” says Diane. “Cold and over-crowded housing can transform a mild cold into a serious illness and little children end up in hospital.”
Kidz First Children’s Hospital always needs beanies, booties, blankets and woolly jump-ers in machine washable wool are perfect.
